ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering aims to develop young engineers with high knowledge, skill and resourcefulness. It is equipped with qualified and experienced faculty members and state-of-the-art laboratory Infrastructure facilities. The Department is committed to provide Core Knowledge, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Analytical and Problem Solving Skills, Creative Thinking, Adaptability to rapid change in the Industry and Professional Ethics. It also offers Research Programme at Belagavi and Muddenahalli Centres. The department has funding from various funding agencies. It has a strong reputation of creating qualified and knowledgeable engineers who are ready to meet the demands of Industry and Society.

The Department offers B.Tech. & M.Tech. Programs at Four VTU Centres across Karnataka. At Belagavi Campus, B.Tech Program in Electronics & Computer Engineering and Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) and M.Tech program in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, at Mysuru, B.Tech. Program in Electronics & Communication Engineering and M.Tech Program in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems, at Muddenahalli, B.Tech. Program in Electronics & Computer Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering and at Kalaburagi, B.Tech. Program in Electronics & Computer Engineering and M.Tech program in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems are offered.

Department has established a Centre of Excellence in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems at Belagavi campus, Embedded System Design using Proteus VSM Simulation Software at Mysuru campus , Software Design (SDR) based Next Generation Communication System Design and Signal and Information Processing at Muddenahalli campus, offering students internship facilities, project guidance and access to collaborative research through partnerships with leading industries giving students real-world experience and professional development.
